The important question is "Have you went for and completed a BMT recourse after your OOT?"

Based on current promotion criteria,no promotion is allowed until you have completed a BMT...unless you downgraded to PES E.

Even if you completed your trainee course but have not recourse bmt,you will still remain a recruit.Once you completed your recourse,you will jump rank REC->LCP/above.

Also if you are PES A/B by then,you still need to pass IPPT b4 you can go CPL and above.

Got such a change meh? Most people won't recourse immediately after OOT esp if they were sent to unit so they cannot be stuck as a REC for that long what.

Thats lame. Theres so many people that don't go for bmt that quickly due to the scheduling etc etc. I wonder how many RECs there will be now in the army since OOT is something that always happens to a decent number of BMT recruits.

yep.. but after they recourse (which they'll definitely get it unless they're pes E, just a matter of time), they will jump rank to LCP and above.. The previous directive for promotion was according to the months of ns served, that's why you can see 3SGs and CPLs during BMT recourse in the past and not now..

And i guess that's the reason you see how many RECs in the service side like drivers, storeman, clerks and technician, at least for my camp..

I recommend TS not to "fail" his recourse BMT FFI when seeing the MO.

Besides the increase in rank and allowance that you will get after your recourse,I'm sure that you do not want to see your rank still REC on your ORD cert/testimonial.When filling up job application forms,they will tend to ask your NS rank too.THAT IS NOT IMPORTANT but it will help avoid some awkward questions from your employer.

That is not possible during his NSF time if he does not complete a recourse and if the S1 branch actually stick to the rules.

If he still has not recourse bmt by the time he ord,then he will have to wait till he reservist then can get promoted.

No recourse = no promotion? You want to be REC throughout your NS period? Anyway even you go for your recourse, you'll be very likely to be in the same vocation anyway.

If hes PES A/B and recourse, there is a decent chance he will change vocation cos after BMT he can go to a combat vocation and no longer being a clerk etc which is where many OOT people end up.

Most likely you be allowed to complete your course before you go to recourse BMT.

I was a REC for close to 1 and a half years. After recourse, a swift promotion to CPL. If you have gone for spec course prior your recourse, you will be promoted to 3SG.

Revocation might occur depending CPC etc but if you recourse after you completed your OETI course and posted to unit, you can try to ask your unit to request for you to return to them. Unless they are overstaff, normally they can try to retain you though nothing is 100% of course.

Imagine a REC commander trying to command his men who are LCP, CPL etc, i really cannot imagine how stupid that sight will be.

Are they going to greet you "Good Morning REC ___"...
